Colour Matching
There are many reasons why colours may turn out different to what you think they will.
Things like, viewing on screen vs paper, Paper vs Plastic, CMYK vs PMS, coated vs uncoated are just a few factors that influence how a print job could differ from your expectations.
For example, when viewed on a computer or device you are looking at a bright light emitting screen – that is backlit and uses different colours compared to printing. You will also find that printing on plastic compared to paper or printing in cmyk vs PMS will also deliver different results. Printing across different machines is also a common reason for colour variances.
So, how do we fix this ?
Firstly, If you have a branding guide that outlines your colours, this is a great start. You can send us the guide and we will use this to design your printed products. However, even with this guide there are still the challenges of printing across different methods or stocks like paper vs plastic.
Fear not! At CPC we print on both paper and plastic. Our production and design team will use their many years of experience to help colour match your job. Our designers are industry experienced and tertiary qualified, our Production Manager is a printer by trade – it’s a great combination and something we are very proud of.
So let us combine our colour matching skills and the latest technology to help ensure your print job is colour consistent and lives up to your brand expectations. Simply send us a printed sample of the colour you’re happy with and we can colour match as best as possible.
